problem with creating directories/uploading files, help please

Hi, I've created a that allows a user to upload some photos, which are stored in a directory that is created by the script named as the UNIX timestamp...

that is all working fine.. but when i go on to the server with the ftp.. it doesnt let me manually upload files/rename those files/delete them from the server.. it will only let my script do it.. is there something i can do with the ownership attributes or something?

Get the script to chmod the files so you have access to them

The files will be owned by the user account that the webserver is using, if chmod is set correctly it will allow you to use the FTP client to access them

get an ftp client like smartftp (www.smartftp.com) and chmod them and in your script be sure chmod folders/files as they are uploaded something like:

chmod ("somefolderorfile", 0777)
