Can anyone Please Help!! Install PHP

Hi,
I was installing PHP on RedHat6.1 and while following the steps as in

http://www.mysql.com/articles/ddws/6.html

When I try to restart the apache server it say

Syntax error on Line 205 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Invalid command 'LoadModule', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Line 205 in httpd.conf

LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so

I don't know why it cann't Load this module... Can some one please help me with this..

my distributivs was

APACHE apache_1.3.26.tar.gz
PHP php-4.2.2.tar.gz

APACHE instalation...

shell> tar xvfz apache_1.3.26.tar.gz
shell> cd apache_1.3.26
shell> ./configure --prefix=/opt/apache

PHP instalation…

5. shell> tar xvfz php-4.2.2.tar.gz

6. shell> cd php-4.2.2

7. shell> ./configure --with-apache=/apache install dir --enable-track-vars --with-config-file-path=/opt/apache/conf

8. shell> make

9. shell> su -c “make install” (dont forget to use chars like "")

COPYING MODULES...

10. shell> cp /php install dir /libs/libphp4.a ../apache install dir /src/modules/php4/

RECONFIGURE APACHE

11. shell> cd apache_1.3.26
12. shell> ./configure --prefix=/opt/apache --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
13. shell> make
14. shell> make install
15. shell> cd php-4.2.2
16. shell> cp php.ini-dist /opt/apache/conf/php.ini

UPDATE HTTPD.CONF

17. open httpd.conf>
		 AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3
		 AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

Can you please tell me again about

apache install directory........ In this case it is /opt/apache

( I think) ......

If thats right then I cann't copy phplib4.so to the /opt/apache/src/modules/php4......

It gives me an error "no such file or directory"....

Can you pl. let me know is /opt/apache in the apache install directory or its something else...

ok i try to describe this things

/opt/apache - this is directory where your apache installs

but remember i have writed something like this

with-apache=/apache install dir - apache install dir it is directory where keeps your source file, file where you do your compilation, but /opt/apache it is directory where your apache be fixed

sorry i can you more better explaine this things because i am very bad in english, if you now russian or polish , then write mee and i more better explaine you all this things

I wish I knew Russian or polish but I don't...

In my case apache install dir is the one I have in root called httpd-2.0.40/ ( as per my understanding)

and I followed all the steps given by you...But when I came to copy the php.ini file like

cp php.ini-dist /opt/apache/conf/php.ini

It gives me a error message as

/opt/apache/conf/php.ini invalid path...

and there is nothing is /opt directory like no directory called apache...

I don't know what am I missing...

Do you know any link for the web site which can give me some more information about this...

belevie me all helps are stored on www.apache.org, i remember that i use only thoose helps from this site, i readed it for 20 times and finnaly all begin to understand,
