PHP Extensions On Server

My host does not have some of the PHP extensions that I need enabled. Is there ANY way that I can enable them myself? Can I create a file that will add to the PHP ini file (that will be read when PHP starts) and copy the dll's to the folder that the script is located in?

Any ideas?

Thinking about what could be done if it was possible to do what you were asking, places a naughty amile on my face.

I think the best, and the only possible way of doing it is, having a telephone conversation with your hosting company. Believe me by calling your hosting company you would be able to change php.ini file and even copy dll's you'd need.. [probably the files will not be dlls, they'd have .so extension].. I mean they'd do it for you if you really have a reason and if that is acceptable by their security policies.
