LOAD_FILE problem

Hi,

I am trying to load file and it is not working.

UPDATE tbl SET blob_field = LOAD_FILE("/??/xxxx.gif")
WHERE ..

I have looked at mysql site, there is no hep. This is the same syntax they r using.

also this is very somall file.

Anyone can help me.
