Auto login to pass protect dir's?

I am a web host reseller with resellers of my own. I am trying to develop a way for my resellers to place an order on a form on my site, which will then log into my password protected area with my hosting supplier and place an order automatically. My purpose for wanting to do this is to minimize hands-on work and let my clients get their hosting info faster.

The most important factor here is that my resellers NOT know the password to access this protected area.

Currently, when I log into my protected reseller area, a popup window appears asking for my ID and password.

My question is this: Is there any way possible to automatically log my resellers in (or more specifically, my script) withOUT them knowing the login information?

I'm willing to read and learn, but I just don't know where to begin looking. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Well, the obvious thing would appear to be to have (a version of) the script in which the password is hardwired or which obtains it from a database. In other words, at the point in the script where it takes the password in from the form, it takes it from somewhere else instead: because the script already knows the password, it doesn't need to ask the user for it, so they don't need to know it.

If you do this, I presume you already have some way of validating clients, so that you don't have just anyone wandering in and having a look at someone else's info!

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the script or DB that contains the password. (Actually, I believe it is in the .htacces or .htpasswd file.) My hosting supplier set that up.

So what I need is a way to feed that information to the server without the user actually typing it in.

Any suggestions?
