I'm currently holed up on Lycos, and they put annoying adverts on the end of every single page.
I was wondering if there was any way of stopping this, for example, and End Of File statement, after which no more code can be added?

if its php, you might just write "die();" after your last line to terminate php.. but i doubt you can stop the ads from popping up
Thanks.
I only asked because the Invision Board Forums that I installed there don't have adverts on them, and I wondered if if was just Lycos being nice, or if there was somthing that could be done about it.
Hi!
Lycos just doesn't add banner codes to PHP files. Only HTML files get banner codes. So if you don't like the banners, just rename .html to .php.

I thought that that might be right, but when I tried it, it didn't work.

Hmm, I had an account at Lycos Germany. They don't add banner codes to PHP files. But maybe they've changed it (I'm currently not using my Lycos account, but I'll try it).
Yes. Lycos adds banners to PHP files, but Opera doesn't show them if it's a PHP file. That's why I thought they aren't added. By adding <?php exit; ?> after </html> tag the banner codes won't be added.
Thanks, I'll try that.
