Order By

I am having some trouble on how to sort or order my query. First let me explain what the situation is. I have 16 teams in a league and after each week these teams have accumulate points for various ways of scoring. In my database I have the fields teamnum, balls,totalballs,and wins. What I need to do is generate the current rankings based off the totalballs, however if more than one team has the same score (which is possible) the tie breaker becomes the balls. For example I have 16 teams as stated before and the standings may look like:
(header are from left to right: Team#,Totalballs,Balls,Wins)

4,116,6,4
2,111,4,2
5,100,3,1 <-- This one should be listed below the next entry
7,100,4,1 <-- This one should be listed above the previous
1,88,1,4

I can sort by totalballs but if one is equal to another I can't get it to sort by balls.

Have you tried

select * from table order by field1 DESC, field2 DESC

"....ORDER BY totalballs DESC, balls DESC"

that doesn't work?

May sound silly but if your columns aren't of the int type MySQL will treat the number like a string so you may have results like...

1 10 11 12 2 3 4
