passing var contents from page to page using hidden vars.

problem - if my hidden var contents has " or ' in it - even though I specify it to be passed as hidden - the var text shows up at the bottom of the page. Not sure if its a stripslashes issue because I've tried a few things and doesn't seem to help

any ideas?
