formatting strings.

hi, i get a string of the phisical location of some picture to a string, formatted like the following:

http://localhost/spb/Images/bridge.jpeg

How can i format it to the relational location of the picture like:

./Images/bridge.jpeg

basically my question is how to format the first string to the second... (i guess it should be a regular expression)

You basically want to 'cut' out the path or parts of the string that describe the path.
If this is always going to be the same path, I mean from /images and on.. you can do str_replace();

print str_replace($WhatYouWantToReplace, "", $YourPathString);
