PHP and Forms?

Okay, I turned my global variables on, cause I'm not quite sure how to deal with forms with them set to off... but here's my biggest question, I have a page that works just fine when I use the GET method on my form, but when I use the POST method, the variables don't seem to be passed, or I'm just crazy. So how do I go about making this work.

PHP resides on a MS .NET RC1 server with IIS & PHP 4.2.3

Okay, so, when I'm using POST, if I put a hidden dummy variable at the beginning of the form, it takes the remaining variables, but it won't take the first variable. Is this a known issue that I might be able to resolve with some easy mod? Or am I coming across something unusual?
