I am an newbee (from the Netherlands) and I would like to make a webshop where people can order their own chosen visiting cards. I am thinking of the folowing concept:
STEP 1: Customer select the background of the visiting-card
STEP 2: Customer type their own text which have to be displayed on the visiting card
STEP3: Custumer have to choose paper type
STEP4: Costumer must select the quantity
STEP5: Costumer will see the price and people can select how they would like to pay: paying in advance or cheque ... (no credit card). The customer also have to fill in here their name address etc.
The customer is finished now. The admin has to get all this information. It will be very nice that all this information will be stored in an MySQL database.
My question is: How must I handle this, can you give me some advice? The information of each STEP must be stored somewhere. Must I save them in cookies or must I use variables in PHP?
And how do I get this stuff nice into a MySQL database? ....
Do u have other good advice / ideas how I must do it?
