Which stable releases?

What versions of Apache and PHP work well together.

As per my previous message, I have had major problems on my Win2K server, which I have now put back to IIS5 after not being able to get Apache working.

However, I have a new Win2K test server which I want to install Apache and PHP. Which versions work well together and are stable?

I would go with PHP 4.2.3 and Apache 1.3.27....

OK - I have both of these installed but Apache service is not starting. Error relates to my LoadModule in httpd.conf

Which dll should I be using?

I currently have LoadModule php_module d:/program files/PHP/sapi/php4apache.dll

Should that be correct?

Apache 2.0.40 and php 4.2.3 work well together. Just don't try to use any newer Apache with php and don't try to use a newer php(snapshots) with apache 2.0.40, they all break at the same place the php4apache2.dll. The LoadModule line you have should work as long as the directory you have listed is where php is installed. Another tip is to not use the php install exe, use the zip file.

Hmm can't find 2.0.40 on the www.apache.org web site. They have 2.0.43 - would that work ok?
