timestamp problem

Dear All,

why isn't this working?

select * from table1 where t1_timestamp<='10/09/2002'

NOTE: t1_timestamp is declared as timestampz

but this query works fine..

select * from table1, table2 where t1_timestamp<=t2_date

NOTE: t1_timestamp is declared as timestampz and
t2_date is declared as date

do you use a "smalldatetime" or a "datetime" field? both are different in length.

for a smalldatetime field you use this: #01/02/2002# or this: %01/02/2002%
