I would say "try postnuke instead" because it's more secure, easier to update, easier to use, easier to set up (I've rarely had a phpnuke setup work the first time)

    i currently run postnuke on my site and already working on creating my own custom CMS. It is way to modular and has a ton of crap most people won't need. It's not easily manipulated and modified as most would like.

    So if you're a good programmer i would write my own, if you're not then go with postnuke over phpnuke for sure.
