Books to read

hi'yall,

I am in the process of ordering books from Amazon. Here's a list of the candidates :

-PHP Black Book+PHP functions Essential Reference
-A programmer's Introduction to PHP 4.0
-PHP: Your Visual Blueprint for Creating Open Source, Server-Side Content (a bit of a mouthful, that one)
-Making use of PHP
-PHP and MYSQL Web Development

All them received good reader reviews and are fairly cheap, I think (the price is a consideration here too).

-Would you care to comment any of these, folks?
-Is any of them head above the rest, or perhaps a waste of money?
-I am thinking of buying 2-3 books, so overlapping info should be avoided, if possible.
-If you had to choose one of them, which would it be?
-and finally: bear in mind, I am an absolute beginner here.

I have the PHP and MYSQL Web Development book. It is a decent resource.

You shouldn't need 2-3 books on php/mysql.

One for each should do it.

PHP and MySQL are well documented, and there are tons of quality tutorial sites out there.
