10 messages on every page

Hey everyone,

I've made a kind of guestbook.
Every message is saved in a new txt file
Now I want that 10 message will be show at one page, so you get a lots of pages with 10 messages. And on the top the newest messages.
So a script muss make a file where maximal 10 messages show and if that file have 10 messages he make a new page and that new file muss be add in a menu, where you can choose your page.
How muss I do that?

USE A DB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and search here to find code for the paging....

storing each entry in a separate text file will not allow this to work very quickly....DB is designed for this

name the files as pages, and limit each txt(page) file to 10 entries.. but a db is the best choice for this

Read your entries to an array, display items between $offset and $offset + 10. Store the offset in the link to the "next" page (bla.php?offset=<?php echo $offset; ?>)
