Text not printing correctly from MySQL

I know this is probably a simple problem, but I'm stuck.

I have a simple submit and retrieve script for a website where a person enters a message and then the latest message entered is retrieved on another page.

The problem I am having is if the message entered has carriage returns the "pulled" data from the database has all of the data running together, i.e. no carriage returns.

Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks.

When you go to display the data use the nl2br function..i.e. if you data is in a variable called $message then:

echo nl2br($message);
