Font Size = -6

Hi all,

a few day ago I posted a thread on here concerning a pronlem I was having with font size.

I was told that I could not use the font size -6 because the only sizes allowed were 1 - 7.

Is this correct. If it is then can someone explain to me why I can use the font sizes ranging from

1 to 7, +1 to +7 and -1 to -7 with good results.

Any ideas

Font sizes are like this:

-1

-5

-6
7
-7

Just a small note.
It may be best to use a different tag b/c every browser i different.
Ie:

<font style="font-size: 12px">

for pixels.

Also, from the W3C:
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/present/graphics.html#h-15.2.2

If your browser has some effect outside the range of size=1-7, then that is a vendor-specific "enhancement" and is not compliant with the spec. You cannot rely on that in other browsers/versions.
