Header and Footer query

I have a script (Link directory) which includes headers and footers..and I've designed a left menu (navigation) i.e menu.php ... I've tried including that as well within the main script but when it calls for it the menu.php is on top of the Header.php...I need it so the menu is below the header with the main content on the right..(well you know what mean) I have tried re-positioning the includes in different steps but to no avail...
I'd hate to use frames...can somebody please help me on this one....

hmmmm check for opening and closing TR and TDs, on some browsers badly taged code will display above the table...
if not post a sample of your include...

oh boy I'm a dufus!..

now I have the header and left navigation in the right place but the main content is now below the left navigation! (menu.php)😕 ....bunker you still there?🙁

I think I've done it??

I've put each include in seperate tables..
top table being the header.php
second table with 2 columns..1st colum I have the included the menu.php and second colum I've included the main content.....
looks ok..any other suggestions welcome..
