page request tracking

Can anybody tell me which HTTP variable should i use to trac from where my website has bean called. i have some links (banners) on different web sites and i want to track from which of these sites i do get most of requests. My web site is opened in new window.

yeah that was fanny. anyway you have at least answerd to my question, but i was not clear enough. i know how i can get server name etc via thes variables, but what i need is exact name of script that has created that request like "www.skodman.co.nz/test_page.php".

i cant find any varible which will give me this as an answer. (maybe i need new glasses )😉

You mean you want the address of the page (if any) which referred the user agent to the current page?

but HTTP_REFERE for some reason do not work on my web server. I do not know why byt echo of that variable gives me nothing.

and you realy love PHP manual so youquote it all the time? Is that the way how you answer?🙂

No skin off my nose; there are plenty of other people on this list who are capable of asking questions without expecting anyone else to be psychic. Perhaps you could get some pointers on how to ask questions from them?

Judging from your posts I wouldn't be surprised to find out that $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] is empty because of a typo.
