How much would this cost??

Hi all:

I've been asked to give my price for a project, but since I suck at giving quotes I thought you might help me!! 🙂

Basically they need a website like 123greetings.com , which people can send eachother ecards.

My responsibilities include:

1) Converting about 1000-1500 images into appropritae sized thumbs and web images.

2) Design the site from ground up, ie banner, buttons, navigational system....

3) Create midi files with given audio files.

4) Create a database.

5) Program the site.

That's the bulk of it!

What do you think? How much should I charge for this ? Please let me know in US dollar 😃 !!!!!!!

the amount that you will ask will be oppositely proportional with their will of doing business with you again.

whatever amount you ask for is, 500-5000 $ (?), keep in mind that it will be wiser to sign a contract that will make you responsible of updating the site on a monthly or weekly (whatever) basis, and request a monthly fee for that service..

I agree with ozzy, but still that is a huge amount of work and should be a couple thousand minimum. I'd say $2500-4500 depending on what you think your time is worth and whether or not you will be getting that contract to update it.
