Can anyone suggest a way to allow me to chmod a file that I have just FTPed to a site. I can't see an ftp_chmod in the manuals. I connect to FTP with a username and password that would allow me to have riohts to change 'owner', 'group' or 'world' access. The chmod function in PHP only works on the hosting site and can only work with rights given to 'world' users.
You can chmod like this:
chmod($dest, 0777);
Check the manual for more details ?

lol, i know this post is a year old, but if anyone ever sees it again... there's a new function that i'm not sure how to use yet, but it's in the manual.. ftp_chmod ! 🙂 cheers!
