mySQL error

well I finally found how to start up mySQL:
I do: C:\mysql\bin> mysqld-max --standalone

but then i get this:

fatal error: error message file 'c:\apache\mysql\share\english\errmsg.sys' had only 198 error messages, but it should have at least 218 error messages.
Check that the above file is the right version for this program!

ow and my apache server isn't even installed there it's in program files...

I didn't know where to put this but cause i'm a newbie i have put it here...

now he sias that he can't find the file anymore...
is there a way i can point my apache path?

Your MySQL database should have nothing to do with your Apache server. Check the my.ini file to see if you are somehow mapped to that folder. I would guess the executable dir is mapped there. I would reconmend using WinMySqlAdmin.exe to setup your server. You can make adjustments to the my.ini file there ( or you can do a Fiind/Search for it). Another tool you need to look at is MyCC. Download it from the MySQL website. It is great to create and manage these databases.
