A SIMPLE calendar scipt that i can manipulate

Ok, I have a webcomic that i need an archive for in the form of a 12 month calendar which makes the dates that there are comics, into links to that date's comic. This isn't really a difficult and my confusing description is making it sound. I have all my comics in /comics/ and they are all named YYYYMMDD.jpg to the date they are for. 20021016.jpg would be the comic for October 16th, 2002. Simple yes?

Now I just need a calendar than for each date checks to see if there is a comic for that date and if so links to archive.php?date=whatever the date is.

This sounds so simple but do to my EXTREMELY limited PHP skill I unfortunately can't do this! Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I also use CAPS a lot don't I?

As the author promises, it is very easy to modify. You can see what I've done with it here: http://www.pinellasgreens.org/calendar.php I have chosen to skip the function that displays a year at a time and just go right to the current month, but it is very easy to do otherwise.
