internet explore/apache/htm page size

i have a site which was running fine on pc platform.

after i move to the sun cobalt linux.

all the html pages with size over 14 KB give me problem.

when i use internet explorer try to open it, instead of display it, it will pop up a file download window.

how can i fix this problem.

by the way, when i use netscape, it is fine, without the same problems.

are they php files on the cobalt server being served and when you view them in IE they pop up

it is inside firewall under develop.

yes, my php is working. and php pages are fine. and php pages are over the size of 14 KB are fine too. Jpg files over size is fine too. and php database connection is fine.

everything is fine.

except 3 html pages which are the only html pages with size over 16 KB.

i checked on the internet, there are some articles talking about apache, buffer size control etc. i guess that is it.

but i don't know how can set up the apache to increase the buffer size control.

any ideas?

i can try to move the site out the firewall if it will help to pinpoint the problems.

but the problem is pretty clear. my php is working, and my html with size larger than 16 KB shows "file download" pop up window on internet explorer. and this is only happening when site run on apache (sun cobalt linux).
