I'm writing a new portal based script in PHP with MySQL usage for storing info luke users, comments, news.
The portal will include next scripts:
news script
commenting news
news archive
** sending news
user registration
** many settings like theme & scheme chooser, language selector, login type, number of news...
articles
commenting
archive
** ...
forum
** will include everything that every forum should have (show posts from 24 hours, sticky threads.. you know, that sort of things)
files directory
grouped in categories you will create
submit files or just links
** modifying...
visuals place
** where users could submit screenshots, wallpapers, anything else and will be shown as visuals directory
search functions
** searching news, forums, articles, users
registered users will have more privileges that guests
.project portal will also include next scripts:
- voting poll with comments
- currently active users
- users stats (* registered,...)
- site stats (number of queries used, parsing time)
- shoutbox
- simply builded themes
- the script will be very complexed and will very little server usage.
current stats:

At this time, no preview is available, i can post some screenshots if you want. As soon as i finish the comment adding script and admin area for writing/editing/deleting news I will upload it to my server. If interested in BETA TESTING or would need to know more about the portal, reply to this thread because it will be the official thread on this forum. Scripts are based in object programming (CLASSes) and more classes 😉. used sessions, file handling, db manipulation,...)
Also, BETA TESTERS will get their free version of the script as i think it would be payable (approx 50USD for all scripts when FINAL!!!)
Suggestions
If you have any suggestions on what scripts to add, any suggestions that would come in handy, please don't hesitate, but speak,.. comment it. I want to make a great portal system with everything a good portal should have.
