I have used the mkdir() to create folders using HTTP method on my webserver.... the problem is that when I try to access these using FTP, I cannot open them, or CHMOD them... the error message is "permission denied".

Why cant I access file uploaded or folders created using the HTTP method??

What are the folders' permissions? Did you specify specific permissions when you used mkdir()?

I have noticed that on some servers with apache and php with safe mode enabled, you are able to create dir but not move a file or create a file in it.

When the dir is created it is created with UID Apache and script UID can not write to dir under safe mode.

no I didnt..... how do I do that?

but there is also the problem that when you try to access even a file such as "test.gif" using FTP it thinks it's not there!! I can see it, I can open it using the brower..... but I cant do anything to it using FTP!
