if code is written on an IIS web server, and then moved onto an APACHE Server does the code have to be changed, because i have written a whole web page in PHP and MYSQL and it ran fine on a IIS Server and now i want to move it onto an APACHE Server and it keeps giving me errors, with the PHP and the MYSQL.
I dont want to have to re-write the whole thing again, any ideas??

if you wrote the code in php in a win version of php and then moved to a linux version of php, then it should work fine,

what errors are you getting/

you probably don't have to completely re-write it.

give use some examples of the errors.

There's not much Microsoft-specific things you can do.

You might be able to get away by temporarily changing some settings in your scripts.

it just says erros in the code on line 700, like syntax and stuff.

but the thing is im trying to run it on a windows box with IIS and a windows box with APACHE which is the annoying thing.

but the thing is the code works fine on the IIS but goeswrong on APACHE!!!!

could there be something wrong with the way the server works with the php module??

typically not, i code everyday in win running apache and php and the code i produce is released in linux, all i do is make sure the the version of php is the same

are your versions the same?

There are slight differences, not all the POSIX functions are there in all versions, you may have problems with getting the Microtime, and the paths are using the opposite slashes. =)
