I am having a terrible problem with IE not saving a downloaded file over an SSL connection.
IE gives me the error: "The file could not be written to the cache"
I start the download with a meta tag
<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="0; URL=https://my.server/fd/index.php?dlf=testing_11.zip">
These are the headers that I captured:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Server: Zeus/4.1

Connection: close

I have found articles explaining the cache-control: nocache problem and as you can see I changed that to public.
Also IE never displays the correct file name it's always the base name of the php script. (i.e. index.php => index.zip).
Does anyone know why this is happening.
