carriage return insertion

I can't seem to get carriage returns in my TEXT field during data insertion. Actually... I can get the carriage returns in via PHPmyadmin, but the carriage returns seem to be ignored during display in my web page. What does it take to get two paragraphs of text with a carriage return between them to display correctly? My return character is ignored by my web page.

Web pages don't display a return character. You will need to translate that return character into a <BR> tag. Use the nl2br function in PHP for that....

$text = [man]nl2br/man;

Just typing <BR><BR> between the paragraphs works fine.
