need small example - mini profile

Hello, I would like to know if someone can show me an example of a small script similar to a profile:

For instance, say i have like 3 html checkboxes, with text next to

them, To where a user clicks the a checkbox (and hits a submit

button) it writes the value of the varible (the text next to the boxes) to a text file.

I hope its not asking for too much, thanks alot

Try something like this ...

This form will post to itself. The if() statement checks that the value of $write_file equals "yes". If it does, it opens the file and writes the contents of all three checkboxes. If any of the checkboxes haven't been checked, it doesn't add the text for that box. You would want to do some more specific checking on what was submitted probably. Also, you need to make sure that the textfile is writable by the script user (probably nobody or apache if you are using PHP as an Apache mod).
