How to prevent browser to open files directly (i.e .doc or .pdf) when users click on links? I would users save files without right-clicking on links but simply clicking on them.

This might not be the correct way of doing it, but I find that if you remove the = sign from the link, it just gives a download box.
<a href"filepath.pdf">download here</a>
not working... 🙁 Without "=" link becomes a simple text, even not underlined.
I'm sure there's a simple solution or alternative. Any ideas?
