Problem with querystring

I am using the querystring to pass a parameter :

http://caladan:8080/fiche_film.php?idfilm=26

When I write : echo $idfilm
I get the following error message :
Notice: Undefined variable: idfilm in D:\iis_divx\fiche_film.php on line 2

That is really strange because when I write :
echo $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']
I get in my browser : idfilm=26
which is totaly normal

What is going wrong in my first example?

I have found the solution.

I just have to use :
$idfilm=$HTTP_GET_VARS['idfilm'];

I think the old way is not working because the basic configuration on php.ini is not the same.
