I bought a book and I have followed all ther examples but it doesn't show me everything I need to know.
I'd really like to get my hands on some e-commerce code, so I can learn from it.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
How about also buying an e-commerce book and adapt what you learned in PHP to it?

down load some eCommerce software from sourceforge.net and dig into the code ...
Its all fairly straight forward.
try www.oscommerce.com ... its well designed and it works only with php and mysql.
