question abt the echo statement

Is there a way to echo out more lines without having to write echo on each line?

for example, I want to echo out a table...
and writing echo on each line will take up a long time..

is there a way to do it otherwise?

php will happily take stuff across multiple lines...

but the real issue here is depending on what you are doing and where your data comes from wouldn't it be easier to use a loop and write the minimum code to needed to show the user the table data?

You can break in and out of PHP/HTML mode anytime, anywhere, as much as you like. But yes, echo doesn't care about whitespace.

:o there was something els wrong in my srcipt, I thought that php couldn't echo out multiple lines, srry my fault :o

and bastien, I'm trying to write my own guestbook but i'm working in 1 script so I have to use variables in the URL. and work wit if statement.

and i can make a loop to show every blok of info from 1 guest, but is there a way then to make a loop for 1 blok, like name and stuff?

text file?
DB?

Db quicker more versatile would be easier for what you are describing

since I don't know how to work with textfiles, I use MySQL but I have troubles with that now 🙁 My pc always crashes 🙁
And I created an acount on a free webhost, but I can't conect to the DB that they created 🙁
