Hello,

My name is vivek. I am working as a project leader and basically working on ASP/PHP. I belong to india. I have done B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics) i.e. Bachelor of Science from an Indian University as a Regular Student. My total work experience is more than 3 yrs. As we all know that there is slump (slow - down) in the IT industry and hence we all computer professionals have been badly affected because of this slow down. Can anyone suggest me that what is the future prospects in IT industry and what all future technologies we should concentrate on so that we can have a rewarding, stable and a good career. Is any degree or a course really helps / effects ?. If yes, then what should I do ?. If I do a correspondence course then will this help.

Your suggestions are most welcomed and it can change my whole life also.

The only thing you can do is keep an eye on the job market and IT press and try to spot the trends. Your crystal ball is as good as any one else's in this respect.

The problem is that whenever a new technology is adopted by a company they want someone with 2 yrs+ experience!
