Failed to connect to mailserver...

I know this has probably been covered hundreds of times, but I can't seem to find a quick solution.

I get the error message "Warning: Failed to connect to mailserver, verify your "SMTP" setting in php.ini in D:\Inetpub\yuppie\info.php on line 15" but here is my php.ini setting (seems correct):

[mail function]
; For Win32 only.
SMTP = mail.glx.net ; for Win32 only

; For Win32 only.
sendmail_from = [e-mail] ; for Win32 only

And our server can send mail through frontpage webs. Any suggestions/solutions?

I've been killing myself all day trying to figure this out. This is on a newly installed 2000 Server. The php.ini file seems to be fine and the SMTP service is running. I have never had this problem on any of the other machines we've used as servers, but for some reason, this one is giving us problems. Does anyone have any suggestions?
