MySQL Returns

Hi, i need to be able to set an image to spacer.gif if the MySQL database returns a feild as the word SPACER, i have no idea how to do this so could some one please show me a snipit of code that will enable me to do this.

Also how can i set errors off on sertain pages.

if you want to merely add .gif to it then you could do this:

$file = "spacer" ;

$newfilename = $file . '.gif' ;

you shud also see if it already has .gif in it (so it doesnt end up as spacer.gif.gif !)

no i need to do it like i said, i know its just an IF statment but i dont know how to phrase it.

eg.
