Hi,

I have installed the mysql, apache, and PHP4 based on Redhat Linux7.2. All packages were installed from the Redhat CD.

However, when I run phpinfo() page, I found that PHP didnot configured with MySQL. Everything was done by the CD itself. I also installed php_mysql package. How did it happen?

Does they seem all right?

Anyone can help me check it? If there are some problems, would you please let me know how to solve it?

Is any way to configure PHP with MySQL after installation such as my case?

you should download the php-mysql 4.0.6.rpm

this will not changed the php-info but php will support mysql ..

on seeing your php config options, it says that php was installed without mysql support.
Remove the config.status file from php folder and then manually add the --with -mysql string while executing the './configure' command for PHP and follow the procedure from there on as before.

I have checked by Kpackage, I can find php-mysql.

gauravupadhyaya, Thank you. As I said, I installed them all by CD automatically. How can I re-configure php with Mysql manually. Sorry, I am newbie for linux and mysql, php.

i used to do the whole compilation/configuration from sources..

though i have a server that run redhat 7.2

rpm -qa | grep php
output: php-4.0.6-7
and php-mysql-4.0.6-7

the phpinfo() function looks like yours so i thout this could help
