turn an exit pop-up on/off

Hi everybody,

How can i make an script that sees if there should be an exit or not?

For example:
index.php?exit=no

But whats will be the code that an exit or no exit will be shown?

Please give us much info, because I am a newbie to programming.

you have to be more specific. I don't know what you are talking about. What does exit stand for, and what are you going to do with it?

What I meant is that I see some links to sites looking like this:
www.url22.com/index.php?exit=no

When leaving the site nothing happens, but when you enter domain url in the browser:

www.url22.com
you get an exit pop-up
