ok - i never ran into this before, so i also really dont know where to start looking...
i have a database with students, ids and grades and want to be able to have the teacher click on a "download" link, and it prompts him to save or open a *.csv file which contains the data and which he can open with excel.
so - i know how to get the data in the format
id1;name1;grade1
id2;name2;grade2
thats not a problem...
the thing is: how do i get to download this baby... (like phpMyAdmin does f.ex. wih backups) is there a special function? or do i have to screw around with mime types?
any help is appreciated! thanks a lot..
