An output of such....

{
echo "<br>".((($nowpage-1)*$displayperpage)+$i);
}

What do you want to make a variable out of?

The output -

$strOutput = '';
for($i=1;$i<=$displayperpage;$i++) 
{ 
    $strOutput .= "<br>".((($nowpage-1)*$displayperpage)+$i); 
} 

the calculated variable -

for($i=1;$i<=$displayperpage;$i++) 
{
    $intValue = (($nowpage-1)*$displayperpage)+$i;
    echo "<br>".$intValue; 
} 

.... ? Need a bit more information to give you any useful help.

Actually i am doing this "prev 1,2,3,4,5, next" paging...by query results to the database....
I need to add a variable into the query where if i click page 2 it will show the results of id(6-10)
and click page 3, it will should the results of id(11-15) and so on....
My problem now is that the results only keep showing the first 5 results....thats all....even i go to the next page!!!!!
You know what i mean?

I need to add a variable after the limit....
$query = "select * from artist order by id ASC limit $Whatsthis, $displayperpage";

let say $displayperpage = 5

Can you help?
