PHP on Win32

Hello,

I am new to PHP and mySQL. I register for a domain and the provider is using linux with support of PHP and mySQL.

On my laptop, I have windows 2000. If I were to install Apache, PHP module, and mySQL to develop my web site on this environment, when transfering to my domain hosting on a linux environment, will it still work?

Also, how would I move the database create on my laptop to my domain?

My suggestions:

win2linux:

1) use lower-case directory naming
(if you are using back-slash, replace them by normal slash)
2) you can't use Win32 stuff (COM, etc)
3) maybe something else

database transformation:

Just make sql dump, and use it on your remote server account.
