PHP won't process forms - win2k server

Hi, I'm rather stressed out right now, so bear with me if i sound rushed.

Anyhoo... the server used to run all fine and great, but eventually had some sort of hardware program, so we migrated the hard drive over to a new machine, and now i'm reinstalling PHP and MySQL.

I've installed both, but it seems that forms aren't being processed if they are over a certain size. The closest thing to this problem i've found is here: http://www.phpbuilder.com/mail/php-windows/2001122/0205.php though it looks like he never found an answer.

It eventually submits the form after a bit of a wait, but when there is a larger amount of information, it seems to hang and not do anything.

I'm using the newest PHP, Mysql 3.xx, and a win2k server

Ok, first off if this is a slow system you might have to increase the max_execution_time in the php.ini (default is 30 seconds). If the script tries to run longer than that it just outputs what appears to be a blank html page. I ran into a similar problem trying to send multiple net send messages from a P3-500 running w2k, once I increased the max_execution_time it worked fine, it's just the system was too slow to handle the system calls.

well, this system is actually faster than the old one - pentium 4 something or other.

it seems the same problem also exists when executing perl scripts.. could this be an IIS error? mysql?
