passing variables

I would like to get some help on passing variables from page to page OUTSIDE of a form. No form is in use.

Basically, I want a list of links on the side of say, page A and also a body portion of the page

I want them to open in a dynamic page, called Page B, which is identical to Page A pretty much

I'd like Page B to be set up to receive the links from the side of page A and open them up in the body portion without having to make a seperate page for each of the many links I'd like to display on the side of page A.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

So you want to load the html pages inside of a main page, correct?

Just pass the file name in with the link, something like:

http://www.yoursite.com?page=mypage.html

Then, on page B have it open and display 'mypage.html'.

If all of your files are in one spot, you could even do this with an include file. include('mypage.html');

Are the links you want to show pages that exist on your site or somewhere else?

yeah, they are all on my server.

all the links on page A are local and would be in the same directory more than likely

kinda laid out like this

I want the links on the left to open up on the right side without having frames or having to make a seperate page for each link

Alright, I guess I could get it working ok if I remembered how to pull variables for php.

As in:

http://www.website.com?page.html

How do I make php pick up the page.html?

I feel so stupid. I forgot how to do it but I found it after toying around with it

http://www.website.com/directory/webpage.html?url=page.html

you pull it using $url

I just used an

include($url)

that's what I was trying to remember how to do
