Search engine in site

I am working on a search engine.

I have for now the normal search with %like% but want to work a little more on a good keyword relevant search engine.

I am thinking on something with a diferent table from where the info is and where I save the keywords and from this get the link out for what they are looking for.

I need any link that can give me a better idea of what can I do with this, thanks,

If you are using MySQL, check out the manual for fulltext indexing. It might be what you are looking for.

While I do not have a 'personal' example to upload, I think that if you look at the MySQL doc's for Full-Text Search you will be able to easily understand how to work this into your code.

I have tried and done this and done that with that example and it does not seem to work for me that is why I need an example of somebody using it on real life, thanks,

Upload your code and table schema as a text file and maybe I or someone can see where it things are going wrong.

I had problems making FULLTEXT to my actual table I think this was the problem, thanks for all your help,
