Hi, I'm new here:
On my job I was told to develope an intranet site that will get info and update an MS Access 97 database.
Before I have done this easily through Active Server Pages '.asp'.
The server admin stated in an e-mail "We currently do not support ASP in any of our production intranet environment. Our global standard is that of Java Servlets/JSP on an IBM WebSphere platform. Typically, developers in this environment are buidling applications with Oracle backends. Otherwise, we do still support PHP and SSI throughout the intranet. "
I thought I was using SSI when I was coding ASP?
What is the easiest route? Do the page in PHP?
I don't think I need to use JSP because I'm only access an Access Database.
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Mike
