buffer , how to ???

ok, people i have one simple for you question , but for me it is problem for instance i have a link

<a href='somefile.php3' onclick='add some string to buffer   '>download</a>

how to make this that when i click on link then this link copies to buffer ?????????

i see something similar with flashget, anybody now how to make this,
