Inserting data that has a "\" in it...

I am trying to grab data from an old database and transfer it into MySQL. One of the columns has text that looks like this: CBI\barker

I keep getting the CBI and then a funky character followed by arker.

How can I get it to insert the data w/ out losing the "\" character?

Try something like [man]addcslashes[/man]
