Posting a username on a page

One more thing I need help with. Say that you are on a webpage that is an .html, .php, anything. When the user logs in to that page, is there anyway that you can add a script that will say in the corner of the page: Hello: "UserName"?

Sure... Under PHP there is a global variable PHP_AUTH_USER that should be able to tell you their username... Of course this will only work on .PHP pages, you may look to see if JS can see this information on the server, but I dont think it can.
